Coming Soon: The Advanced Manufacturing District at El Paso International Airport
On May 6, 2026 the City of El Paso officially broke ground on the Advanced Manufacturing District (AMD), launching the development of a 250‑acre campus that will position our region as a hub for innovation, technology, and advanced manufacturing.
Phase 1 construction is now underway and will include new multi‑tenant and stand‑alone facilities designed to support small- and medium-sized manufacturers and emerging technology companies. Once complete, the AMD will strengthen the aerospace and defense supply chain, attract high‑quality jobs, and accelerate innovation across the region.
Supported by federal Build Back Better funding, Airport Capital Improvement investment, and the City’s Advanced Manufacturing Incentive Policy, the AMD represents a major step forward in expanding economic opportunity and enhancing El Paso’s competitiveness on the national stage.
