The Innovation Factory is a collaborative economic initiative led by the City of El Paso, the El Paso International Airport, and The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) to stimulate economic growth and job creation by supporting early-stage manufacturing technology businesses in aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing. Initially launched as a 30,000-square-foot facility in 2023 at the El Paso International Airport, Phase 1 provided qualified companies with space, incentives, and business support funded through $3 million in Federal grants. Due to its success and growing demand, the facility has now expanded to 50,000 square feet, allowing for the continued growth of the businesses. The Innovation Factory is a part of a broader economic strategy that aligns with the development of the 250-acre Advanced Manufacturing District, further driving innovation, attracting high-paying jobs, and strengthening the region’s manufacturing and defense industries.
